Viral tea seller Dolly Chaiwala announces national franchise rollout of ‘Dolly Ki Tapri’ stalls across India.

Sunil Patil, popularly known as Dolly Chaiwala, has officially launched a Pan-India tea franchise called “Dolly Ki Tapri.” The announcement was made public via his verified social media handles on July 14, 2025.
Dolly, who first gained national attention for his flamboyant tea-serving style and street vendor background in Nagpur, Maharashtra, confirmed that multiple cities will be part of the initial rollout phase. These include Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.
Each location will replicate his viral stall’s aesthetics and experience, including kulhad chai, retro-themed counters, and the signature “Dolly-style” preparation process. He also confirmed that trained staff at each location will be instructed in his specific method of service.
The franchise will be operated under a newly formed entity registered as Dolly Ki Tapri Pvt. Ltd., with FSSAI licensing and hygiene certifications ensured across all branches.
According to Dolly’s team, he has signed with an Indian F&B startup group based in Pune for logistics, operations, and scaling support. The official franchise model will include:
100 sq. ft–300 sq. ft tea stalls
Uniform branding and uniforms
Location exclusivity clause for Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities
Optional food add-ons based on local preferences
The franchise’s official website and application portal for investors and partners is expected to go live later this month. Initial capital investment per unit is estimated to range between ₹7–10 lakhs depending on location and size.
In his statement, Dolly said:
> “This is not just business, it’s about taking Indian street chai culture across the nation.”
This franchise news arrives after months of speculation about Dolly collaborating with food tech brands following multiple celebrity interactions and influencer endorsements online.
Online reactions have been mixed. Many users are calling it a new phase of influencer-led retail, while others have raised concerns about commercialization and dilution of authenticity.
As of July 14, no official investor list or brand partner roster has been released, though Dolly has confirmed involvement from at least two private investors and one regional beverage distributor.
